Losing Weight With Three Days Of
Dieting
There are so many fad
diets on the market today claiming you can lose weight in just
a few days, the 3 Day Diet is one of them. How anyone can lose
weight in only three days?
This just never seems
right to me. I kept thinking that this must be another
starvation diet that will do nothing but make you lose a bit of
water weight. I have seen all this before. I have even tried
these diets before with no real weight loss success.
The major idea behind
these diets is to shed what you can really fast. One thing I do
know about this diet, you cannot stay on it more than three
days or it will back fire on you.
The 3 Day Diet is a crash
diet that allows you to lose up to 10 pounds really fast. The
reason you do not want to stay on this diet more than the
recommended three days is that it will ultimately screw up your
metabolism.
Once the body realizes
that it is not getting enough food to sustain itself it will
slow down the metabolism. This puts the body into storage mode.
The few calories you would be taking in would just get
immediately stored as fat.
This means when you go
back to your normal diet, you just start packing on the pounds
again. I have done this so many times, and usually end up
heavier than I began. The rapid loss is due to eating less than
1000 calories each day, although most is simply water and not
burned fat.
I actually did try the
3 Day Diet for one day to see if
it was easy or not. I can honestly say that restricting myself
so much was horrid. With the diet plan you are warned to not
over eat or cheat at all or you will not lose the 10 pounds
promised.
I was only to have the
bear minimum in calories, so this meant no refined sugars,
little to no fats, and small amounts of high protein foods. I
found that I was still very hungry and it was hard to not want
more. I also felt very tired on this regime.
I am a very active person
and I was not eating enough to sustain my normal routine. I
found by later in the afternoon I wanted to either eat or
sleep. Between being hungry all the time and having no energy,
I decided one day on this diet was one too many.
The 3 Day Diet is not a
diet I would recommend to anyone. Not only is it not healthy to
starve yourself into losing weight, it is never recommended.
All that is accomplished on this fast fad is
nothing.
After you are finished
you will spend the next few weeks trying to reprogram your
metabolism to stop storing every single thing you eat and begin
to use it upon consumption. This reprogramming not only takes
time, it will cost you some weight gain till you have it under
control.
