The 6 Day Body Makeover is simply the cash diet version of another popular diet plan, the 6 Week Body Makeover. Basically, you go on a six day regime to lose weight fast. This is only suggested for special occasions, and not recommended as a long term diet type. Since I had a wedding to go to in 8 days and my new dress was no longer fitting the same, I decided to give it a try. The worst that could happen was I would not lose enough and still need to buy another dress. Moreover, unlike most other crash diets the 6 Day Body Makeover promised I would not gain it all right back again after the diet was over. The idea of dropping a dress size in six days and putting the weight back on made me very happy. How the 6 Day Body Makeover works is you eat approximately five to six smaller meals each day and do 45 minutes of sloe exercise. The exercise is a must for this plan to work, so if you cannot find the time, or think you can skip this part, do not bother to even do the diet. You will want to have access to a stationary bike or treadmill. This will allow you exercise no matter what type of weather. I had to plan carefully for the meal plan as well. This is very strict and required me to shop for the right foods, such as chicken and fish. Red meat was not an option. Not only was this diet hard to plan for, it was not doing as it promised by the 3rd to 4th day. I was promised to lose inches and I did not seem to lose anything but time. The 6 Day Body Makeover was really not what I thought it would be. I had a very difficult time trying to figure out how to squeeze in six meals per day and work. I could barely eat three meals; six was pushing it too far. The exercise regime was not really beneficial. I found no invigoration with what the author suggested. My heart rate never got up enough to get to a proper fat burning level. I found that trying to squeeze in 45 minutes of slower exercise per night was also difficult. It would have been better and yielded more results to have had 10 minutes of heavy exercise that pulled my heart rate up. The special breathing techniques really did not seem to help me burn fat any more efficiently. While I did lose enough to fit into that dress, I would not recommend this diet to anyone serious about losing weight as a long-term goal. The exercise routine is not based on any type of fact or science and the diet is way too time consuming. I never did lose the weight that the book said I could. Eating nothing but protein all week was not easy either. I really could have used some variety in my meal preparation. In fact, after I stopped the 6 Day Body Makeover diet I put back on a few pounds. Review by Jenna Steele Read more Diet Reviews here More lose weight information
