7 Day Diet

Actually For Weight Loss Or A Joke?
I have seen some crazy
crash diets in my day, but the 7 Day Diet has to be a joke.
When I first came across it, I could not help but laugh. I then
felt a bit sick, as someone would probably try this diet at
some point. Some how this fad diet has circulated around the
world and back, and still exists to be attempted.
The idea of choosing one
food per day to eat for a week is just silly. There is no
nutritional value in this diet, what so ever. There is actually
no real weight loss claim either. It is just plan
crazy.
Here is what you do when
you decide to go on the 7 Day Diet. You begin your diet on a
Monday and eat nothing but fruit, unless it is a banana. For
some odd reason, it does not say, you cannot eat bananas. Not
only do you eat fruit on Monday, you can eat as much of it as
you desire.
Now, if you eat 4000
calories in fruit, would that not be defeating the purpose of
the word, diet? The cost of fresh fruit might just limit your
calorie intake though. On Tuesday you get to forget about
fruit, and indulge in vegetables.
That is correct, you
heard right. All day Tuesday, you can eat as many vegetables as
your heart desires. If your favorite vegetable happens to be
avocados, then you will also not see much weight loss. Not to
mention the gas and bloat you will have by the end of the day.
Wednesday you get really lucky and can eat both fruits and
vegetables, unless, of course, it is a banana.
Thursday on the
7 Day Diet is banana day.
You get to consume five entire bananas and drink five
glasses of whole milk. I really hope those bananas come
super sized, or the dieter will be very hungry. Yet, the
size glass of whole milk is also not specified.
So, one can find the
largest glass they have and use that. Thank God it is Friday,
today you get to eat four ounces of meat and unlimited green
vegetables. Your body is now quaking with happiness at the
thought of protein. Repeat Friday using four ounces of beef on
both Saturday and Sunday, and there you have it, the diet is
complete.
I cannot in good
consciousness even call the 7 Day Diet a “diet”. This is more
of a joke and test of what people will do. No one should even
attempt to not only eat so few calories in any given day, but
also to only eat one type of food. The body needs so many types
of food sources to get all the essential nutrients it needs to
function.
Not only will you not
lose weight, you could even end up sick if you are not careful.
I would chalk this fad up to a great e-mail to some friends to
share a laugh.
