Acid Alkaline Diets

Can The pH of Your Body Really Effect Your
Weight Loss Capabilities?
At first the thought of
my pH being off causing my difficulty to lose weight sounded
crazy, till I read about Acid Alkaline Diets.
I learned that my current
diet could disrupt the acid-alkaline balance in my body,
shifting it to acidic. This acidic condition not only could
make weight loss hard, it can also cause health issues. I had
never really paid any attention to this and wished I
had.
The pH of the fluids in
our body affects every single cell. If the balance is off it
can seriously effect these cells, and therefore every tissue
and organ in our bodies.
With such a acidic
unbalanced body you could make yourself more susceptible to
diseases such as cancer, cardiovascular diseases, nervous
system disorders, allergies, sleep issues and fatigue, weight
issues, and even obesity.
How the Acid Alkaline
Diets work is that they are based on which foods leave which
types of residues in the body after eating, acidic or alkaline.
To find out what type of body acidity you have all you have to
do is test. To alkalize the diet and your body, you will eat
foods that do not contain high acid amounts.
Alkaline foods are mainly
vegetables, fruits, nuts, and very specific drinks. If you are
a meat lover you will have to learn to eat less of them and
make sure they are lean. Meats are very acidic and should be
avoided, along with refined sugars, foods with high
preservative levels, many artificial sweeteners, and dairy
products.
The Acid Alkaline Diets
are usually recommended to people who are experiencing many
symptoms that have their doctors concerned. I was told that
this type of diet could help me improve my health, as well as
lose weight, if I was experiencing fatigue, excess mucus and
nasal congestion, frequent colds or flu, anxiety related
issues, PCOS, ovarian or breast cysts, and continuous
headaches.
While reducing acid
forming foods can help one become and stay healthy, there
really is no evidence either way on this plan. I did find
though that I felt all around better and did lose weight. My
average weight loss was about two pounds each week.
While I can say that I am
not an expert in the medical part of the Acid Alkaline Diets,
the weight loss portion does definitely work. I do recommend
this diet if you are looking for a healthy eating plan that is
easy to follow.
The health benefits that
are claimed cannot hurt either. I can say I did feel better
after a few weeks on the diet. I am not sure if it had to do
with reducing my acidic foods or if it was just eating healthy
that caused the change. No matter which it was, I am sure you
can enjoy this diet too and lose the weight you
desire.
While adding some
exercise plan will speed up the process, you do not have to. I
also tailored the amount of calories I took in by my activity
levels each day.
