Acne Diet

Can You Really Control Your Acne With
Diet?
There are so many things
to do that can help you control your acne, the Acne Diet is one
of the many. I found out the hard way that what you eat can
really affect what your complexion is like.
Certain types of foods
can make acne much worse or even in some cases, be the cause of
it. It can be a rough road if you have no help when figuring
out which ones you can eat and which ones you should
avoid.
While sometimes it can be
individual, there are many foods that should just be avoided
for everyone. When you suffer from acne, you will do anything
to try to get it to go away. Changing your diet for the better
is one simple and healthy way to do this.
When you begin the Acne
Diet, it is very important to take note of the foods to avoid.
Any animal products such as meat, dairy and even poultry should
be avoided or only eaten once in a while.
You can get the essential
amino acids you need from fish, flaxseed oil, or hempseed oil.
The saturated animal fats can really make your acne worse or
even cause a break out. If you really cannot lessen your meat
intake, be sure to only eat lean meats to reduce the fat you
ingest.
It has been said in the
past that chocolate and candy in general can cause acne. This
may only be a myth. Chocolate is high in saturated fats and
will only make your acne worse if you eat too much. Candy and
other foods with a high ratio of refine sugar are not going to
make your skin worse if you only eat them in
moderation.
The Acne Diet really
focuses on what can trigger acne in the individual, as well as
offering which vitamins and foods do what. There are many
vitamins and foods containing them that can trigger an outbreak
or make a current outbreak worse. Vitamin B-2 is one of those.
It can cause an existing outbreak to be worse.
When you are having some
trouble with your skin you would want to avoid meat, including
fish, eggs, whole grains, and leafy, green vegetables. These
foods contain high amounts of B-2 and will just make your acne
worse while it is there.
Vitamins and foods that
can help you get rid or avoid acne all together include,
Vitamin A, B-3, and E, and Zinc. These can be found in many
foods including nuts, which can be eaten as a snack once a
day.
Over all, it cannot hurt
to try the Acne Diet. The
worst that can happen is you will be eating healthy. I found
that it did help my complexion out quite a bit. While my acne
did not fully go away,
I had fewer out breaks
that were not as bad and did not last as long. This is what
makes me recommend this diet to others who suffer from acne as
well. It may not be a cure all for everyone, but it truly does
help.
