Apple Cider Vinegar Diet

Is Apple Cider Vinegar Diet The Cure All To
Weight Loss?
The Apple Cider Vinegar
Diet claims to be the new fad to weight loss. It has been said
for many years that apple cider vinegar can cure all. There are
claims that it can fix everything from heartburn to high blood
pressure.
While there has been no
real scientific evidence to support these claims either way,
people still continue to try them. I decided it would be best
to look into whether this diet was worth my time or
not.
The reason it had been
said that the Apple Vinegar Diet worked was that a doctor had
once said it could be used as a weight loss product. Supposedly
it binds cholesterol and removes it from the body. It is also
claimed that it forced fat to be burned, rather than stored if
not utilized right away.
I was supposed to drink
1-3 teaspoons of the so-called tonic prior to each meal. This
was supposed to aid in burning the fat as I ate. I did not have
to change my diet at all, nor cut down on calories. There is no
exercise regime to adhere to either. The basic principle is
that all you have to do is drink this and viola, weight loss.
The bottom line is that it is not true. There is not a single
bit of truth that drinking this will work.
A major issue with the
Apple Cider Vinegar Diet is
that it can be potentially harmful. Those who have specific
health issues should actually not even try this diet. The
acetic acid content in apple cider vinegar is extremely high
and actually cause burns to the esophagus, stomach, and mouth.
It can also erode tooth enamel completely off. If you are
determined to try this then you must dilute the solution in
water or juice before drinking.
If you stay on this diet
too long you can end up with such low potassium levels that it
can be deadly. No one knows exactly how long is too long with
this diet. This is one of the main reasons it should be avoided
all together. Prolonged use of this can also cause loss of bone
density; those with osteoporosis or a family history of it
should avoid this concoction at all.
If you are on any
medications, even over the counter such as laxatives or
diuretics, you must consult a doctor before even ascertaining
the idea of apple cider vinegar. Diabetics will also want to
avoid this diet.
The bottom line with the
Apple Cider Vinegar Diet is, avoid it. There are too many
things that can go wrong with it, than right. There is no proof
or truth that it helps with weight loss.
In fact, it seems that
there are more harmful effects than any positive ones. The
claims that this diet plan make are not only false, they have
the potential to be harmful and for some, deadly. Do not even
bother trying this one.
