Cholesterol Lowering Diet

Do You Have High Cholesterol And Need To
Lose Weight Too?
Trying out the
Cholesterol Lowering Diet may just be the option for you.
Starting out on the diet you may be somewhat skeptical, I know
I was, but it does offer you some useful techniques on how you
can lower that high cholesterol and lose some weight
too.
Keep in mind there is
good and bad cholesterol. LDL cholesterol is the kind that can
cause plaque build up on your arteries.
HDL is the cholesterol
that helps protect you from a potential heart attack. Balancing
these two types of cholesterol is the best way of lowering the
bad cholesterol and losing weight.
I started off the diet by
adding in soy and extra protein and fiber into my diet. I
started drinking a fiber drink three times a day and after the
first couple days I started feeling better. I was more regular
and didn’t have an issue with feeling like my day was consumed
by feeling like I couldn’t even get out of bed.
The Cholesterol Lowering Diet isn’t too
hard to start and watching what kinds of food I was eating, was
not too hard. I ate a lot more “low fat” foods and just kept
with the meal plans that were given to me in the diet
guide.
I set up an appointment
with my Dr. to have my cholesterol tested and within a week I
had dropped it 5%, I was thrilled. I felt like the diet was
working great!
Keeping up with the diet
and all that I had to do everyday was very simple. I just stuck
to the meal plans and kept away from unneeded cholesterol. I
never thought I could be a vegetarian by any means, but
switching up on what I was eating and how much I was taking in,
wasn’t too bad.
The Cholesterol Lowering
Diet was really working well for me and I was able to lower my
cholesterol almost 25%.
I started to really want
to just go back to my old lifestyle though, where I didn’t
always have to worry about what I was eating so much. I wanted
to enjoy things more. Therefore, I stopped the diet, and
maintained my lower cholesterol in a different way.
I found that doing this
diet was not really to awful, but it wasn’t something I could
be on for the rest of my life. I was happy with the results I
saw and will not complain about lowering my cholesterol as well
as losing about 20 unwanted pounds.
I did feel better and
looked better as well. I would more then likely offer
the Cholesterol Lowering Diet
to my friends if they were suffering with
bad cholesterol.
I don’t think I would
have lowered my bad cholesterol as much as I did without trying
the diet and sticking to it for the time that I did. It just
wasn’t something I wanted to have to do for the rest of my
life.
I found other ways to
keep my cholesterol at a safe level and I am not worried at all
about it getting bad again. If by chance it does, I may just
turn back to the diet for a short time period.
