Denise Austin Weight Loss Review

Fit and Fabulous at the Same Time
When I was
younger, I was a supporter of Denise Austin weight loss
and exercise program, so as I edged toward 50 and found I
had trouble keeping my weight down, I found out about her
weight loss program and was enthralled by it.
Unlike many
other diet plans, the Denise Austin weight loss program does
not restrict any food categories nor prevent you from eating
the foods you love in order to lose weight. The key to success
with this program is eating foods in moderation.
Instead of
eliminating food groups like many other diets, one of the six
key strategies of Denise Austin weight loss program is to
measure food in small bowls and only eat half of over-sized
portions. You also need to increase your intake of fibre by
eating oatmeal, brown rice, and other types of fibres in order
to lose weight quicker.
Other parts
of the Denise Austin weight loss plan include eating good fats
such as olive oil, avocados, fish and nuts. You are encouraged
to fill up on fruits and vegetables so that you won’t have room
for fatty foods.
The diet also
helps you address why you eat and encourages you to eat only
when you feel hungry so that you eat less. The final concept is
learning to change your behaviour such as substituting good
conversation for trips to the vending machine.
Exercise is
also a very important part of Denise Austin’s plan with a
combination of cardiovascular exercise, stretching, and toning
daily. Her website provides a variety of different exercises
you can customize for yourself.
The thing I
liked best when I began the Denise
Austin weight loss program was not having to count
calories or eliminate foods. I could eat pretty much anything I
wanted but ion smaller portions. For most people, portion
control is a big issue.
For instance,
we don’t need to eat a big plate of spaghetti. I learned to eat
a small plate of pasta (lunch size plate) and compensated by
having a large green salad with low-fat dressing on the side. I
snacked on fruit and vegetables instead of ice cream, cake and
cookies. The diet is all about learning how to eat differently
and replace fatty foods with leaner and healthier
ones.
Of all the
diets I have tried, this was the easiest to follow, and
although I didn’t lose weight quickly, I lost it consistently.
If you’re looking for a way to lose weight fast, this is not
the plan for you.
However, you
must remember slow weight loss means long-term weight loss. I
still have about twenty more pounds to lose, but there has not
been a week when I haven’t lost at least two pounds, which is
great for me. I have more energy now, can move without pain
most days, and I don’t have problems with my back any
longer.
I’ll soon be
52, and I feel better now than I did when I turned 40 because
I’m able to exercise regularly and am eating low-fat healthy
foods.
