How To Avoid The Freshman Fifteen

I was totally worried about gaining weight my freshman year till I read about the Dorm Room Diet. It seems like every time one of my girl friends entered the dorm life, by the end of the first year she gained at least fifteen pounds.
Some claim it was the late nights and extra calories from pizza and candy while studying. Other say it all the partying. I say it is the on the go lifestyle and all of the above.
What I do know is that I have no desire to enter the club of those who are gaining weight. I decided to arm myself with this diet plan to avoid what all the other before me have gone through.
The Dorm Room Diet offered me the best chance on how to eat right entering college. It is not a diet per say, rather a healthy way to eat to avoid gaining weight. I would only need to learn to fit in exercise and time to eat with all my schoolwork. This plan also teaches about supplements. Basically there were a few simple rules to follow to help me make wise choices about eating.
One of the most important things to remember was to eat breakfast each morning. While it seems so simple, it is easy to rather sleep in and not eat before class. Eating all three meals is essential for proper dieting and keeping the body running smoothly.
Another very important step in this diet is to drink at least half your body weight in ounces of water each day. I weigh136 pounds, so I drink 68 ounces each day in water. I also make sure to drink one glass before each meal. This is to keep me eating normal portions.
I also had to remember to eat every three hours. Snacks were very much as important as my meals. The Dorm Room Diet offers a variety of healthy snack suggestions to make sure you get one that keeps you full till your next meal.
I also avoided eating up to two hours before bedtime. That way I would not store food into fat over night. It is always easy to munch while studying. I had to remember to bring healthy snacks and plenty of water. If I crave forbidden foods I must count to my age before indulging. I might be able to not eat them if I stop and count. I have kept myself from cheating many times this way.
While the infamous freshman fifteen can be inevitable for some, those armed with the Dorm Room Diet can avoid it. I know I have and love it. I know exactly what and when to eat in the cafeteria.
I also know how and what to cook in my room. If you are entering college I totally recommend this diet for you. There is nothing better than not becoming another statistic.
Once you read this book you will be happy you did. Be one of the girls on campus who enters sophomore year the same weight as her freshman year.
