Dr Seigal’s Cookie
Diet
The secret to eating cookies and losing
weight

For those of
us that are addicted to cookies, Dr Seigal’s Cookie Diet sounds
like an easy way to lose weight while enjoying our favourite
food. I know when I heard about it the thought occurred to me
that this was a diet that would guarantee me
success.
Of course,
what seems too good to be true usually is, and although the Dr
Seigal’s Cookie Diet does consist of cookies, you will not find
your typical chocolate chip or peanut butter cookie on this
diet. The cookies are specially formulated to work with any
diet but are not your typical snack cookie variety.
The cookies
for this program are used as replacement meals for any time
during the day you become hungry. During the day you can eat
six of the cookies that average 90 calories each and a high
protein dinner that consists of up to six ounces of fish,
chicken, turkey, or other seafood—no red meat is allowed
because of fat content—and one cup of vegetables.
Several of my
friends and I started the Dr Seigal’s Cookie Diet at the same
time, and each of us had the same reaction—thee is not enough
dietary fibre to prevent fatigue and the diet is boring. I was
fortunate because I only had about ten pounds to lose, and
since the diet only allows about 800 calories daily, it only
took me about three weeks.
On the other
side of the circle, however, I found it very easy to gain back
the ten pounds I lost. The diet does not include an exercise
plan nor does it include any type of guidance for maintaining
weight loss. I really had to watch my eating after I lost the
ten pounds and get myself into an exercise routine so that I
would not gain any of the weight back.
The
Dr. Seigal's Cookie Diet
only created temporary success for me though it did give me
the boost I needed to do what was necessary to lose the ten
pounds I had been promising myself and my family I would
lose for a while. I’m a stay at home mom, so the real boost
for me was when my husband told me he wasn’t going to give
me money to buy new clothes because I had two closets full
of clothes that I would be able to wear if I lost even five
pounds.
I would
recommend Dr. Seigal's Cookie Diet to anyone who is looking to
lose a few pounds quickly for vacation or a special event or
for someone who is looking for a quick start toward losing
weight. For the long-term or someone who needs to lose a great
deal of weight this diet is not the way to go.
The cookies
themselves cost about $56 a week, and for that price you can
buy healthy foods and utilize a healthier food plan. Lack of
carbohydrates on this program made me quite exhausted, and at
the end of three weeks it took me another week to regain my
strength.
It has been
about three months now and with some help from my family and
friends I have been able to keep it off.
