Is the Duke Diet any good?
The Duke Diet and Fitness Centre has been in
existence in 1969 but has only recently gone online. I wasn’t even aware of it until I began a search of online
diet programs and happened to find it in a search.
With my busy schedule, I don’t have time to go to places like
Weight Watchers or Nutri System, so having
something available online fits my lifestyle perfectly.
The Duke Diet includes not only a personalized
diet plan but also a fitness routine, behavioural strategies, and medical assistance. The combination of these four
components makes the diet easier to follow and use than any other online diet program I have seen.
The first step with the Duke diet is a diet review evaluation after
which the experts will help you develop a personalized meal plan. There is no one meal plan on the Duke
Diet - each dieter has his or her own plan based on their needs and lifestyle. You work with nutritional
and fitness experts in order to develop the right program that allows you to lose the weight you need to lose
safely and prevent it from returning.
Unlike many online diets, your success will be monitored and
there are experts who can help you with any questions and concerns you may have.
With daily meal plans in my email, it was easy to plan meals that
were healthy and would help me reach my weight loss goals. I had never been very big on exercise, so learning to
develop a fitness program was a very big step for me. I found it very helpful to work with the experts in order to
develop my program and to answer any questions I had.
Through my program there was always someone there to assist with
any questions or concerns and to address any other diet-related issues. I felt very comfortable, and when I reached
a point when I was not losing weight, they gave me some great suggestions to help me out of the slump.
The Duke Diet is not a rapid weight loss
plan but rather encourages a healthy weight loss of one to two pounds weekly. I won’t call my results typical
because I’ve always had a rather fast metabolism, so with the addition of the fitness program, I averaged about ten
pounds monthly and was able to reach my goal in about three months.
I have maintained my goal weight within a couple of pounds for
the past six months, and on the occasion when I have put on a couple pounds, I go back on the Duke
Diet until I lost it again.
I would recommend this diet for anyone who has had problems with
diets in the past and has been unable to lose weight or has failed to succeed in weight loss. I have kept all of
the information I received when I was on the diet and turn to it whenever the need arises.
