Frozen Food Diet

The Hype On Frozen Foods And Weight Loss, Is It
Real?
Frozen Food Diet seem to
be the trend lately. I am sure part of it is that these diets
are so convenient with their prepackaged foods that are quick
and easy to make. This type of diet appeals to those on the go.
People with not much time to fuss over cooking healthy meals
that other diets want you to prepare.
Simply go to the frozen
section of any grocery store and pick out your three meals per
day and you are on your way to losing weight. Honestly, I did
not think this type of dieting was real. The idea I could lose
weight by eating frozen food seemed a bit far-fetched to
me.
As I researched further I
had seen many people be successful in the beginning by choosing
the Frozen Food Diet plan. Usually success went away after the
user stopped eating those frozen meals and went back to their
old habits.
How Frozen Food Diet
works is that you eat 2-3 frozen meals per day and have a
couple snacks in between. How using frozen dinners works is
that your food portions are laid out for you.
Therefore, even if you do
not get the expensive diet meals from your frozen food section,
you will still lose weight due to portion size and reduced
calories. It is not really the type of dinner you eat, as much
as how small it is.
In fact, most people
would not be satisfied by the amount of food in one of those
meals. This can make you want to binge eat. Most people who do
that find they grab empty calories or junk food, which would
defeat the purpose of the diet in the first place.
I noticed with
Frozen Food Diet that if
you are not careful with what you eat, you could be doing
more harm than good. Frozen prepackaged meals are full of
sodium. This can be really bad for you if you have heart
issues, and really, is just not good in general. High sodium
foods lead to bloating and water retention.
The other major issue
with this diet is that your metabolism will slow down and you
will not lose the weight as fast as you want to. If you do lose
any weight, once you go back to your regular diet you will
regain it and find it much more difficult to lose the second
time around. No one will just eat small frozen dinners for the
rest of his or her lives. At least I know I will
not.
While the idea of Frozen
Food Diet is great in theory, I really would not recommend this
to anyone. There really is nothing that eating prepackaged
frozen food long term can really help anyone with. It is in
better interest to use smaller portion sizes of foods that are
fresh and healthier, than to eat this prepackaged, sodium
filled meal in a box.
I like frozen dinners
just like the next person, but every day is not recommended.
While you will find this a cheap way to lose weight fast, in
the long run it will back fire.
