High Fiber Diet
Are You Suffering From Diverticulosis?

Maybe you should change your diet and try a High Fiber Diet (and diverticulitis diet). On this diet you are recommended to eat 20-35 grams of fiber a day, including 6-8 grams of soluble fiber.
The High Fiber Diet helps your body eliminate waste a lot better and helps reduce your chances of creating more diverticula. In addition, you need to increase your water intake to about 1.5 liters a day. Drinking more water will aid in making your bowels easier to pass and far less painful.
Having a disease that affects your colon and intestines is never easy and going on a diet like this that is higher in fiber, is a great way to help you.
Being a person that has suffered years with diverticulosis, I was ready and willing to find a way to make things easier for myself. I did a lot of research on “natural” healing, and when I came across the High Fiber Diet (and diverticulitis diet), I thought that I had finally found something that I could do and it was going to be very easy to do so.
I started the diet the following day. I wanted to make sure I did it right so I read all the instructions and recommendations that were made in the diet manual that was available.
My water increase was a little harder then I thought it would be, but I tried really hard and finally got up to that 1.5 liters I was supposed to be drinking. I also used a fiber supplement to help me along the way.
After three months on the diet I really noticed how much it had helped me out. I didn’t notice having any pain while going to the bathroom and I really started to feel a lot better in general. The High Fiber Diet (and diverticulitis diet) was really worth it to me. I was glad that I didn’t have to keep suffering with my diverticulosis the way I had been for so many years.
It took me a little time to adjust to the new eating habits that I had to make, but they were very well worth it in the end. I feel like I am a whole new person now. I don’t feel like I am constantly suffering with some incurable disease, like I used to feel all the time.
Having diverticulosis for as long as I had it was no fun, and I am happy that I found the High Fiber Diet (and diverticulitis diet). I would never turn back to the way things were before, so I stick to the diet to this day.
I would most definitely inform anyone that has to suffer with diverticulosis, about this diet. I was ready for a change and I was able to find a good way to end my pain and suffering.
Anyone that has been or is in the position I am in would more then likely agree that it is worth a lot to get rid of all that you suffer with when you have diverticulosis.
