Thinking Of Weight Loss And Looking For A Good Diet To Try?

Have you ever considered a High Protein Diet ? I know that you are probably thinking that this type of diet is for weight lifters or people looking to bulk up, but people are now using these diets to lose weight too.
On this diet you eat one gram of protein per pound that you weigh. If you have any type of kidney disorder then this diet is not recommended for you to use.
There are a few different diets out there that are high in protein and some are pretty well known; such as the Atkins Diet. The Atkins Diet was the diet I tried. I have to say I was a little uneasy about the diet because I was really worried about gaining weight.
Starting off my high protein diet, I was excited, but very nervous too. I really wanted to look good and feel good about myself. Therefore, I started the diet at a minimum level and worked my way up.
I have to say, when I was working out while on the diet, I noticed quite a bit of change in the overall appearance of my body. My legs and stomach looked toned and muscular. I kept at it and kept working out. It was really a lifestyle change for me.
I lost so much weight and gained a lot of muscle it seemed like a dream come true. That dream really didn’t last long though. High Protein Diets seemed to work really well for me at first.
After I reached my goal weight, I decided to go off the diet. That was my first and biggest mistake. Without sticking to the diet I started gaining weight and no matter how much I worked out, I didn’t seem to get the same results back.
The High Protein Diet is something that I committed to for a while, but ending up having a hard time keeping too, because I just wanted to eat a lot more of my favorite foods again. I figured as long as I kept up the workout routine and still had plenty of proteins in it, then I would be fine. I was so very wrong. I learned the hard way that this type of diet is something you have to do pretty much for the rest of your life if you wish to keep the results.
With everything that happened on my diet, basically since I failed, I was hoping for something a little better to come out of the results. I guess I had held my hopes a bit higher. The High Protein Diet are great for someone that is dedicated to using them for the rest of their life and making sure that they follow the plan to the letter.
I really would love to say that I could recommend the diet to many other people, but I really don’t know if I could. I felt really ripped off, because the diet wasn’t advertised like it should have properly been. I know that some of my weight gain was my own fault, but for it to start immediately after ending the diet was just crazy to me.
I have since found a different way to lose weight and have shed some pounds.
