LA Weight Loss Centers

Is it just another fad or does it really
work?
There
probably aren’t too many people who have heard of the LA Weight
Loss program, myself included. I had tried several different
diets without much success, so I wanted to see if LA Weight
Loss had anything different it could offer me. I had gotten
mixed reviews from my friends who had tried it—some liked it
while others thought it was way too expensive and time
consuming with having to attend several weekly
meetings.
Since there
were mixed emotions about it, I figured I’d try the LA Weight
Loss for myself. I personally chose the online version because
with my busy schedule, I didn’t have time to attend
meetings.
Before I
started, I did some research on my own to find out how the diet
works so I would know what to expect. LA Weight Loss combines
regular foods that I can prepare at home or eat in restaurants
with regular counsellors either at a centre or online. The
online version does not require visits to a center but has
counsellors available when you need them.
It also
includes supplements and weight loss enhancers that are
required parts of the program as well such as food bars that
you must purchase. The membership fee of $219 covers the
program costs and the first month of food bars. The program is
comprised of 45% carbohydrates, 35-40% protein, and 20% fat. It
is a portion control plan rather than a calorie counting
plan.
Each person’s
plan is individualized to their needs and consists of a caloric
content from 1,100-1,800 daily. Since I am very active, my
program consisted of 1,200 calories—they wanted to give me
1,500, but I wanted to lose weight faster than that. I liked
the fact that there was no actual calorie counting, just
portion control, something with which I had a lot of
trouble.
I have to
admit I learned to eat a different way while using the LA
Weight Loss program, and I lost 2-3 pounds every week.
Unfortunately I was unable to complete the program because of
the cost.
LA Weight Loss Diet
definitely works, but for me it was cost prohibitive. You have
to buy the dietary supplements in order to derive the full
benefit of the diet, and that is on top of the program
fee.
I was
fortunate to get in on a special and get the first month of
diet bars free with the program, but after that, it became very
expensive. Eating foods I was able to prepare at home was fine,
but when I added the cost of the supplements, it wasn’t worth
it anymore.
In my
opinion, LA Weight Loss is a program designed for those who
have plenty of money and don’t know what to do with it. I never
really saw where the diet bars added anything to the diet
except money in the pockets of the franchise owners of LA
Weight Loss.
If you only
have about 20-30 pounds to lose, the cost may not be much of a
factor, but for the average person, it’s prohibitively
expensive.
