The Makers Diet

Can You Really Diet In The Biblical
Sense?
While I was searching for
the right diet for me, I stumbled upon the Makers Diet. The
idea of this diet was to heal the body through a process
prescribed by the Bible. I was not sure about the idea of God
helping me to lose weight, although I could use all the help I
could get.
Upon reading further
about this diet, I realized it might not be what I need to help
me lose weight. The creator of the diet claims it saved his
life, but he was too thin and very sick, not over weight. I
decided to still look into what this diet had to offer, as it
may be something that could help me in the long run.
The Makers Diet was
designed to be used for 40 days, and claims to heal the body,
mind, and spirit. The body is said to house the spirit and the
mind. So, if you take proper care of your body, you then are
taking the care of your mind and spirit as well.
Looking further into the
diet, I found it would work wonders for those who had weight to
lose. This diet is a life style change and those who have a
great amount of weight to be lost can truly benefit. You will
not get a quick fix from it, but will see long-term effects
that will make a huge difference in your life. You follow the
diet in three two-week phases. Each phase gets you closer to
the type of healthy living you want in your life
everyday.
The great part about the
Makers Diet is that you can eat meat. Many other diets limit
your meat consumption or say you cannot have any at all. The
only difference with this diet is that you must eat meats that
are deemed biblically correct. This means you can eat meats
from animals that have cloven feet that eat cud only and some
types of fish.
All other types of meats,
such as pigs and sea animals without fins or scales, should be
avoided. I was not sure if I could only eat the meats from the
preferred list, but I figured it was worth a try.
The Makers Diet creates a balance of
what they call the three I’s, which are insulin, infection, and
inflammation. This part of the diet made full sense to me as
when the body is not hormonally balanced, it cannot maintain
any type of good health for long. I found that when I balanced
my insulin levels I found that my concentration improved, as
well as my moods. Using the sugar I eat properly also aided in
weight loss that I was very satisfied with.
As far as infection and
inflammation are concerned, the healthier I got the less I got
sick and had either. My body seemed much more able to manage
what it came into contact with each day and fighting off
germs.
The Makers Diet does turn
out to be a really great diet, whether you want to lose weight,
gain weight, maintain, or just eat healthy. The idea of eating
whole grains, vegetables, and certain meats as written in the
Bible, actually works. If you want a diet that can be used for
anything, try this one. Religious or not, you will not be
disappointed.
