Prevent Pimples
Easy Way To Prevent Pimples
How to prevent pimples is a problem for most of us. Clear,
glowing skin is a sign of beauty and health.
But unfortunately, pimples can blemish your skin. There are numerous causes
for pimples, and many of them do not have anything to do with dirt.
Prevention
Hormones, allergies, and other factors can influence how your skin reacts.
But if you want to prevent pimples, the steps are easy to do. In order to prevent pimples
the first thing that you will need to do is to cleanse your skin.
However, you will want to choose your cleanser carefully. Pick one that is
gentle and pH balanced. Be wary of any cleanser that contains oil, fragrance, or detergents as these can be harsh
on the skin and make acne problems worse. If your skin is oily, consider using a cleanser that contains benzoil
peroxide or salicylic acid. These will help to dry up excess oil and prevent acne.
If your skin is very oily, you can try using a toner, though it will dry
out your skin if you do not have that much oil. Whatever cleanser you use, do not scrub skin that is irritated.
Scrubbing will cause the pores to swell, which can cause more breakouts and make the problem worse.
Treat
The next step to prevent
pimples is to treat the ones that you have. Whatever you do, do not try to squeeze or try to "pop" your
pimples. Instead, apply a topical acne treatment to your entire area. Not only will this treat the pimples that you
already have, but it will help prevent new ones from forming.
Before bed, use a spot-treatment on the affected areas, and then use an
oil-free moisturizer to prevent over-drying. In the morning, apply an oil-free sunscreen over your entire face to
help protect your skin against sun damage.
Conceal
After cleansing and treating your skin the next step to be able to prevent
pimples is to conceal the ones that you have. This will help to give you self confidence and reduce the urge to
pick at them.
Use a makeup brush to apply a small amount of concealer or foundation in
the exact same color as your skin to the pimple. Use your finger to blend in the makeup, applying a second coat if
needed.
If the makeup starts to cake, you will want to wipe it off and start over –
adding more will just draw attention to your blemish. Once you have applied enough, gently brush on a coat of
powder in the same color as your skin to finish the look.
Other Tips
There are a few other things that you can do to prevent pimples. If you
have oily skin that requires toner, use it along the T-zone. Rinse it off afterwards to prevent it from drying it
out your skin. You can also try using a clay mask every three days to absorb oil.
If you have a severe redness and swelling problem, you can ask your
dermatologist for help. A cortisone injection can help calm down a pimple instantly for an important event. You can
also try applying cortisone cream, Preparation H, or eye drops designed to remove redness to help reduce
swelling.
