Raw Food Diet
Living Lean With A Raw Food Diet

While searching for the right diet, I began reading information about the raw food diet. I was looking for a diet that not only could promote healthy weight loss and management, but also one that I could live with forever.
The more I learned about the raw food diet, the more it sounded like something I would love. The idea is that when you eat uncooked and unprocessed plant foods you are getting the right amount of enzymes and essential minerals that cooking the food can kill.
Cooking many foods can make it so that the digestive enzymes that all for proper uptake up nutrients are destroyed. This diet requires 75% of the foods I am eating to be living or raw.
I found so many benefits with the raw food diet. I have noticed that I have tons of energy now when I had so little before. My complexion has improved and I have lost weight. I feel so much better and look better too. I have lowered my risk of heart disease by not eat fatty foods and reducing my trans fats. I have learned to eat the required foods.
Organic foods are the most recommended and you should stay away from meats in general. Vegetables, fruits, legumes, nuts and seeds, and whole grains are the best foods to eat. If you are going to eat meat that is cooked, only makes it 25% of your total diet.
When you are preparing some of the foods you like, you will have to modify the way you are used to cooking. With the raw food diet you can use a dehydrator for fruits and meats. You can use a blender or soak other foods like vegetable and beans. There are ways to prepare raw foods that do not destroy all the nutrients from them.
I did notice that the first few days of this diet were very detoxifying. My body cleansed itself from all the other types of foods I had been indulging in. This is very normal and can be slightly uncomfortable. It passed quickly, as well as the cravings for processed and sugary foods. After that I have never felt better.
You do have to be careful that you are getting all the right vitamins and minerals you need. Supplementing the B vitamins, iron, Calcium, and protein are essential for staying healthy. Without these essential ingredient you may find you can get very sick. In addition, if you are Pregnant or nursing you will want to be sure to speak with your doctor before starting this diet.
While the raw food diet is not for everyone, I highly recommend it for those who can handle it. Not only is a great diet for life; it also helps you to lose weight and keep it off.
While some people prefer to just eat fewer calories, this diet allows you to eat as much food as your body wants as long as it is part of the raw plan. I also found that my energy did increase and so this made exercising much easier and desiring.
If you have not tried this diet, I would. You may find that it is just what you need to look and feel good again.
