Losing Weight Fast With Rice

While searching for a quick weight loss diet I came across the Rice Diet. Originally this diet was designed for those with a host of medical issues such as diabetes, heart disease, obesity, and more. The idea was a 2-4 weeks diet that promoted very rapid weight loss.
While this sounds like some type of fad, it actually has worked and has many positive aspects. I decided it would be worth a try. The foods sounded better to me than with most diets as I really like rice, fruits, and vegetables. Although it was strict, it was worth the effort.
Since the Rice Diet was originally designed to treat those with various illnesses, it is low in sodium. The amount of salt you consume can greatly affect your health and weight in general.
The more salt you consume, the more likely you are to have water issues and that can create extra weight. Lowering the amount of foods you eat containing high amounts of salt will enable your blood and kidneys to get rid of the extra water efficiently.
Water weight can be quite heavy, so losing it will make you feel so much better. The Rice Diet is also low fat as well. This will not only benefit you in the health department, it will also keep you from storing new fat and allow your body to get rid of your old fat stores.
I can say that the Rice Diet will have you losing weight very fast. The first day can show a 2-3 pound loss. This is definitely all water loss, but any loss is good. It is very important to be sure to eat only brown rice. It is the extra fiber that helps this diet work.
White rice is not the same and should be avoided while on the Rice Diet plan, as it is totally stripped of fiber and nutrients. I noticed the first week was the most difficult to get through, but once I did it was much easier.
The great thing about this plan is there is support to help you out. I am not sure I could have made it without the great support I had while working through the program. I found that when I was too restricted that I was more apt to lose interest and eat things not on the plan. You really need a tremendous amount of will power to stick to this diet.
While the Rice Diet is really great for a quick fix for losing weight fast, it is not really a long-term diet plan for many. If you do not have any restrictions due to medical reasons, you may want to try a less restrictive dieting program. I found eating the same things and so few types of foods over and over very defeating.
This is a great diet it you would like to lose pounds fast to fit into that special something right now. As a long-term diet plan I would have to say no.
