The New Solution To Diabetic Diets

With so many diets for diabetics on the market, the Schwarzbein Principle Diet seemed like just another one of the same ole song and dance. Little did I know that could not be further from the truth.
The Schwarzbein Principle Diet offered diabetics a different solution, as well as those without any diabetic issues. The plan is based on the idea of insulin and carbohydrate levels truly affecting what we can eat and our weight.
I decided to give this one a try. I was convinced this could be a lifestyle change that would give me the body I wanted and the energy to enjoy life.
I was warned that I could gain a bit to begin with, but as the diet evened out my metabolism I would then lose the extra weight for life.
While the Schwarzbein Principle Diet also recommends supplements and hormone replacement when necessary, I was not quite sure I needed anything more than just the diet.
I wanted to go through all the phases of the diet before turning to anything else. With phase one I was healing my metabolism. The diet was focused around high protein and low carbs. This allowed me to feel fuller longer and keep my sugar levels more even.
Eating three meals per day was essential and I had to drink plenty of water. In phase two I was simply maintaining the work I did in phase one. I was now allowed to introduce carbs back into my diet in levels that were right for me.
While lowering carbs at first sets the pace for weight loss, they are important. It is finding the right balance for each person that matters.
I found that following the Schwarzbein Principle Diet you also needed to learn to get active. Diet is important, but exercise is too. You are encouraged to learn what works for you. If you are very active you can add more carbs back into your diet.
If you cannot do as much exercise, be sure to not eat as many or you will gain weight. This is also where you would find out what supplements or hormones you would need if any at all.
This is not a quick fix diet. It can take weeks to finish phase one and see any weight loss. I can say that with plenty of exercise you will accomplish your goal faster.
Once you have lost all the weight you want you can either cut back on the exercise or begin adding more carbs back into your diet. Remember to not add too many back at once. You want to maintain your new weight and not ruin your blood sugar levels.
I can say that I really love the Schwarzbein Principle Diet. It has helped me to lose the weight I wanted and keep it off. While other diets are short, this one is a lifestyle that you can take with you and modify all your life.
Whether you have diabetes or not, this diet can really help you gain control of your life.
