Shiny Hair
Natural Tips For Shiny Hair
Many people, especially women, long for beautiful, healthy, shiny
hair. The companies making hair products realize this, and you can turn on the TV or flip through a
magazine and see plenty of ads with women sporting gorgeous locks.
However, purchasing these remedies can get to be pricy. If you do not have a
movie star’s budget, do not worry – there are plenty of remedies that you can find in your own kitchen to give you
the lustrous locks that you desire. There are many things that can remove the shine from
your hair. The sun and the wind can cause damage and fading if you are outdoors a lot. If you are a swimmer,
saltwater and chlorine can cause damage as well. The pollution in the air, chemicals in your shampoo, and even your
diet can keep hair from looking its best.
But you can fix these problems with a few
natural remedies:
Avocado
Instead of guacamole this weekend, why not use that avocado to give yourself
shiny hair? Mash avocado (you will need one for short hair and two if you hair is longer)
in a bowl so that it forms a thick paste. Spread the past on your hair, covering it completely from root to tip.
Allow to set for 20 minutes, and then shampoo it out. Because avocados are rich in fatty acids and other nutrients
they can feed your hair and help replace some of the missing shine.
Apple cider vinegar
Another way to get beautiful shiny hair is to mix
half a cup of apple cider vinegar with one quart of water. Shampoo you hair like you would normally, and then use
this mixture to rinse it out. Apple cider vinegar is rich in alpha-hydroxy acids which will help to break down the
build up that is causing your hair to look limp and dull. Use this rinse regularly and you will see your hair
shining within a few shampoos.
Eggs and oil
Another powerful combination for shiny hair is to mix together eggs and olive
oil. You will need two eggs for short hair and three for long as well as three tablespoons of olive oil. Beat the
two together and then use them to coat your hair. Allow the mixture to sit for half an hour, and then shampoo as
usual. The eggs contain protein and other essential nutrients that your hair needs for optimal health, and the
olive oil helps to moisturize and restore your shine.
Coconut
If you have some coconut oil, you can also use this to create shiny
hair. Warm up about three tablespoons of the coconut oil and spread it over your hair. Wrap in a hot towel
and allow it to set in for a half hour before shampooing as usual. Coconut oil is loaded with antioxidants, and it
will help to smooth and moisturize your damage hair so that you can restore your shine.
You do not need a trip to the beauty salon to get shiny hair. A quick peek
into your kitchen cupboards and you have everything you need for your own set of gorgeous locks.
