Sonoma Diet Review

Making the Choice to Eat Healthier
The Sonoma
Diet was a good weight loss experience. I was tired of weighing
foods, eliminating foods, and eating foods that were bland and
unappealing. In fact, when I found the Sonoma Diet plan, I was
sick of just dieting—I wanted something that would allow me to
make a lifestyle change.
I always
seemed to be on a yo-yo diet of one kind or another, and even
though I have never been seriously overweight, I couldn’t seem
to maintain my desirable weight.
When I heard
about the Sonoma Diet, I thought I’d give it a try and see what
I could accomplish with it. Its inspiration comes from the
Mediterranean diet with an emphasis on enjoying foods rather
than avoiding them.
Instead of
diet foods, the Sonoma Diet encourages everyday foods that are
easy to find and prepare as well as having the ability to help
you lose weight and improve your health.
Another
concept of the diet and the key element to its success is that
you consume foods that are nutritious and contain few calories.
The Sonoma Diet includes what they call the Top Ten Power Foods
which are:
-
Almonds
-
Bell peppers
-
Blueberries
-
Broccoli
-
Grapes
-
Olive oil
-
Spinach
-
Strawberries
-
Tomatoes
-
Whole grains
In addition
to being low in calories, these foods also contain various
elements that protect against heart disease and other
conditions that can affect your health.
With so many
people having concerns about their health, choosing a diet that
promotes good health as well assisting with weight loss is
essential. I know for me the problem was finding a program that
would allow me to make lifestyle changes without having to eat
bland and tasteless foods. If you sign up for the online
program or buy the cookbook, you will find so many different
recipes you can use for your meal planning.
I may not be
typical since I only had twenty pounds to lose, but losing
those twenty pounds was a struggle before I tried the
Sonoma Diet. I knew
some of the right foods to eat, but I had no idea how to
prepare them so that I wouldn’t become bored with
them.
In spite of
all my past failures, I was able to finally lose those twenty
pounds with the Sonoma Diet. I used the online program and had
the cookbook, so it made it easy to stay on track. It was a
slow process and took me two months to accomplish, but a year
later I still have not regained the weight.
Anyone who
has ever had a baby knows how difficult it is to take the
weight back off, and that was my problem. I overate during my
pregnancy, so I gained more than I should have. After the baby
was born, I couldn’t get back on track and gained a few more
pounds in addition to those I hadn’t lost.
Now that I am
back to my pre-pregnancy weight, I feel more energetic, look
and feel better, and even have a healthier immune
system.
