Take Out That Can Actually Help You Lose Weight, Not Gain

The last few years have given rise to the fad of the Subway Diet. We all have seen all the commercials where people claim they lost all this weight by eating Subway sandwiches. I figured that with all the take out I eat during the workweek, this at worst would be a healthy alternative to what I usually eat.

At best, I can actually lose some weight. I also added some mild exercise into my daily plan, as Jared did to lose weight the Subway way. I figured if Jared Fogle can lose over 200 pounds using this diet and a daily walk, I could lose 30 pounds.

There is no official Subway Diet. The trend to follow is the one Jared used to get thin. He basically ate two Subway sandwiches per day. Therefore, each day I get a small sub for lunch and a large one for dinner.

There is another variation of this unofficial diet that includes a suggestion for snacks and breakfast as well. All the sandwiches are to be ordered with no mayonnaise or cheese. The whole point is to be low calorie and low fat. If you are going to have snacks, be sure to keep them light, such as eating fruits. I was also told to drink a lot of water.

This diet is very easy to follow. I also eat out almost every day for lunch, so it is very easy to pick up both lunch and dinner at the same time. You do need to be careful of some types of sandwiches there. Make sure to get the lowest calorie, lowest fat, and lowest sodium level. You do not want to take in a lot of salt, as that will make you retain water weight.

The way the Subway Diet works has more to do with calorie intake than actually eating from a specific place. Basically you should eat approximately 1000 calories each day and try to walk or get some form of cardiovascular exercise. This is what makes the diet so successful. Be sure if you eat the Subway Diet sandwiches to only get the ones that are less than 6 grams of fat only.

You will also want to hold out on the cheese, oil, mayo, and anything else fattening. The serving size is what really matters. Each sandwich has how many calories and fat it contains, which is what makes Subway easy to use for your weight loss meal choice.

If you are like me and always on the go, I totally recommend the Subway Diet. It is a great way to lose the weight you want over time, without having to think really hard about it.

There is no real calorie counting to do and as far as take out food is concerned, Subway is much healthier than most other places. This diet can really go a long way to aiding in appropriate portion size and on the go healthy eating.
