It has been long shown through various dieting strategies that the dieting point system does truly work. Most people do not believe that you can eat all the foods you love as long as you stick with the amount of points. The idea of dieting is all about portions, exercise, low fat, and all the lows of the Universe, or so it seems. With the Points System you no longer have to worry about that, it is all laid out for you. You can just simply figure out your total daily point intake and then eat till you meet it. The hardest part is figuring out how to eat as much as you want without going over your total points for the day. The Calculation ConspiracyWhen it comes to calculating the amount of points you are allowed to have, there are many things to take into account. Gender plays a huge roll in how many points you are allotted. Men need more calories than women do, so are allowed more just for their gender alone. The only time women will get more gender points then men is when they are breastfeeding. Age is another important aspect of the dieting point system. The older you are, the slower your metabolism, and the fewer points you get. Believe it or not, your current weight will also dictate how many points you get, as well as your height. The largest part of the point calculation is what you do all day. If you do nothing at all then you will get no added points. The more you stand, walk, or do activity, the more points you get. For those people who cannot be active much, this diet can still work as you just set your points for no activity and eat less. Free Food Choices To Keep Full The hardest part of any diet is restricting what you eat. With the dieting point system you are not restricting as much as watching what you eat. If you want candy, great, search for candy that has higher amounts per serving size and fewer points. Meat can also cost many points unless you eat lean and choose the right type. If you want to be able to eat your favorite foods all the time, yet still snack, you will want to snack on free foods. These are foods with zero to one point per serving. Vegetables, fruits, and other types of snacks can be bought to fill the need to eat more often without using points against your favorites. Free Does Not Mean Never-Ending Although there are many free point foods when you are doing the dieting points system, you still can add up points if you are not careful. Everything has calories to it. If 1 cup of cup of something is zero points, it does not mean another cup added to it at the same time is zero points. You have to double the calorie, fat, and fiber intake if you double the serving size. Often this can raise the points to be higher than you thought. If you want many servings of the same zero point food selection, spread it out over the whole day to allow it to be a separate snack. Trust that you found this dieting article useful.
