Can Detoxification Be The Answer To Weight Loss?

The UltraSimple Diet focuses on detoxification and the inflammation in the body. This so-called health plan claims to be able to help you lose 10 lbs in 7 days. I really had to look into this further, as so many diets that claim this type of weight loss are crash diets that never work long-term.

If you cut calories too low you put the body into starvation mode and you will train it to hold onto nutrients and store them, rather than use them immediately or rid the body of them. Every time I tried these diets I ended up gaining back all the weight I lost plus a few extra pounds.

There are six major steps to the UltraSimple Diet. First you must get rid of all the bad foods that cause inflammation and toxic effects. These foods would include all junk foods and refined sugars, any foods containing preservatives, added sugar, and added colors, and caffeine and alcohol.

Once the bad food have been gotten rid of you add all the good foods. These foods should be organic when at all possible. You will want to drink a lot of water and eat foods from the approved list. The next steps include adding the detox UltraBroth, anti-inflammatory UltraShake, and relaxing UltraBath into you daily routine.

The UltraSimple Diet does not seem so simple when you have to add all the specifics. The UltraBroth must be prepared and drank 3-4 times each day. When you are not drinking that, you are ingesting an UltraShake. You have to take herbal laxatives, eat some roughage, and drink a lot of water.

Basically you are almost fasting. You also will be taking a bath for 20 minutes each night in the UltraBath solution. This could be a problem if you have a hectic life or children. Not to mention you could be allergic to the solution, so make sure to test it on your skin prior to submerging yourself fully.

The plan is claimed to be able to be tolerated for up to 3 months or you have lost the desired weight, which ever comes first. I stopped this diet long before either. Not only was I starving, I was afraid to slow my metabolism down and end up gaining more weight back after.

Over all the UltraSimple Diet is not really a diet or health plan. It is more of a fasting technique that allows you to lose weight by getting rid of water.

Once you are eating your normal foods again you will gain it all back, and possibly more. While there is a maintenance book for this plan, I really would not recommend that either. Anything that has you fasting as a way of life is not really all that healthy.

The only way I would use this diet at all is if I needed to fit into a dress for a special occasion. Even then, I just would buy a new dress.
