Volumetrics Diet
Feeling Full And Satisfied Can Lead To Losing Weight

It is not unheard of to eat as much as you like and still lose weight; it is called Volumetrics. This diet plan prescribes to the fact that people love to eat. Depriving one of food will not help them lose weight or stick to some diet plan. In fact the more restrictive any diet is the more likely I was to cheat or give up.
With this diet I can eat larger amounts, as the foods I eat are less in energy density. This means more food, less fat. I feel very satisfied and still am able to lose and maintain my weight.
I have not been able to do this before with other types of diets. With this plan I was able to eat more and still lose all the weight I wanted and keep it off.
With Volumetrics I would focus my eating on the low-density foods that contain mostly water. This includes non-starchy vegetables, non-fat dairy, and soups. I also loved fruits, whole-wheat rice and pastas, and oatmeal. All these foods were filling and low in calories.
I never had to actually count the calories I took in each day, just choose the right foods. I stayed away from higher density foods, but still could enjoy them if I ate smart. These foods included cookies, junk foods, and crackers. While I could still indulge in these treats, I just practiced moderation and tried to keep them to a minimum.
How you lose weight with Volumetrics is you fill up on high water content foods. It is not enough to just drink tons of water that only quenches your thirst.
The Volumetrics diet wants to satisfy your hunger, so high water content foods are consumed regularly and freely. You fill up on these and do not have to worry about eating too many calories, as they do not have much. I spent quite a bit of time consuming stews, soups, and casseroles.
I found quite a bit of the recipes to be helpful in keeping my diet varied. There is nothing worse than having to eat the same things every day. I did not have to do that with this plan at all. Basically I just ate low calorie, low fat, and many fruits and vegetables.
The Volumetric diet claims to help you lose 5-10% of your body weight over time. This will happen in 1-2 pound a week increments. I completely have faith any one can accomplish this, as I did, on this plan. Essentially you will find that this diet is highly efficient in helping you lose the weight you want without depriving you of all the things you love.
The book will help you keep track of what you eat, give you tips for increasing or getting the most form your exercise, and also help you with meal ideas. I totally recommend this diet to anyone who really wants to eat better over all and lose weight at the same time.
