Weight Training The Right Way
Weight training can be beneficial
There actually are right and wrong ways to do weight
training. Many people just assume as long as you do repetitions of specific exercises that you are doing
it correctly. This is not the case at all. Muscles not only need the repetitions of
specific exercise at the right weight, they also need to rip, rest, and heal to get larger.
Muscle is one of the only multinucleated cells in the human body. These cells
rip, tear, and grow with weight training. This is how muscle bulks up into what we want to
see after a good training session. It is very important to know how to lift weights right. Not doing this right can
lead to serious injury.
Core Muscles
The core muscles are your abs and back muscles. Before you begin to work on
any other area, you need to make your core is strong and fit. The reason you want to make sure this is done before
you begin to tone other areas is that you could pull muscles, ligaments, and tendons if they are weak.
This is not just about having great looking abs. You need to be able to
support your body weight without pain. If you do not have strong enough back muscles you can end up with chronic
back pain that can get worse as you build more muscle tissue in other areas.
Days Off
While having a consistant and faithful routine for working out is very
important, you must take days off as well. Weight training includes
ripping muscle fibers so they will grow. This will require rest to heal to get the desired result. If you spend all
of your time working the same muscle groups over and over, you can end up doing too much damage. This will force
you to take too much time off. You lose muscle tissue this way.
To build at the proper pace you need to make sure that you not only rotate
between groups to get even coverage, toning, and growth, you need actual days of no training at all. This allows
your body to remove the toxic waste that forms from ripping muscle. If you get to much lactic acid build up from
not allowing proper healing and time off you will end up in severe pain. Rest is just as important as the workout
itself.
Always Rotate Muscle Groups
Rotating muscles groups is very important to any weight
training routine. You never want one group to get more attention than the other. This can lead to
disproportionate growth. Rotation of your work out also allows for some healing time to already torn and stressed
muscles. Always try to have at least one day of between working a group.
Core muscles can be worked each day though. Although you rotate you still
need a day completely off from working out. The best way to spend rotation al days is getting massage in the muscle
group that is on healing rotation. This will aid in development.
